Cenifax History

In 1993, Cenifax was the successful bidder for a contract to provide data processing services to Lake County. Since that time, Cenifax has been the primary information technology provider for Lake County's government, Indiana’s second largest county.  In addition to providing efficient day-to-day operations and responsive user support, Cenifax has successfully managed a wide variety of successful conversions from “home grown” legacy and obsolete systems to new state-of-the-art applications.

Cenifax manages a large network in Lake County of over 1,700 personal computers at over 30 locations, including the Lake County Government Center, multiple courts, police departments, assessor’s offices, and other various county offices.

Currently, there are over 2000 users in over 30 government offices.  An additional 1000 attorneys use the court’s eFiling system, electronically filing cases via the Internet.  Each month, the Lake County website receives over 1.5 million hits, providing Lake County citizens with electronic access to their local government.

Founded in 1980, Cenifax has analyzed, designed, programmed, and installed several custom systems for several municipalities.  In addition, Cenifax serves clients in a problem solving capacity from high level, future planning projects to on-the-ground implementation and support.
